This free event will take place on September 24th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Choctaw Lounge in Texas Live\, and is organized by the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce\, Irving Hispanic Chamber of Commerce\, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in Grand Prairie\, Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce\, Arlington Latino Chamber of Commerce\, and the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association. \nThe “Soy Votante” event is a powerful initiative to encourage voter registration\, voter planning\, and political engagement within the Hispanic business community. It reflects a growing movement to dispel the misconception that the Hispanic community is not engaged at the polls. The event aims to serve as a platform for local business owners\, community leaders\, and members of the public to come together and advocate for an increased voter turnout in local and national elections.\nEvent Highlights Include: \n\nMayor Jim Ross of Arlington will deliver brief remarks at 7:00 PM on the importance of voting and civic engagement within the Hispanic community.\nSomos Tejas and Jolt will host a voter registration booth on-site to assist attendees with registering to vote.\nRaise Your Hand Texas will sponsor and distribute voter planning cards to help attendees organize their voting efforts.\nUnivision will share marketing materials for their #VotaConmigo initiative\, encouraging voter participation across the state.
