Construction companies can better understand how to become prequalified for several major work categories
Contractors interested in pursuing public works opportunities with the City of Fort Worth can take advantage of a series of quarterly Contractor Prequalification Workshops designed to help construction companies understand how to become prequalified for several major work categories. The workshops are available both online and in person at Fort Worth City Hall.
The City currently maintains prequalification lists covering water and sewer work, concrete and asphalt paving, and pedestrian and roadway lighting, with bridge work expected to be added soon. For projects in these categories, either the prime contractor or a subcontractor must be prequalified with the City.
The next workshop will be held Wednesday, September 9, from 1:30–2:30 p.m., followed by another session on December 9. Additional workshops are scheduled for March and June 2027.
