The RHCA Pillar Awards honor excellence, leadership, and lasting impact across the Texas construction industry. These awards recognize individuals, firms, and project teams whose work strengthens the industry through innovation, collaboration, advocacy, and economic growth. Rooted in RHCA’s mission, the Pillar Awards celebrate those who build not only significant projects, but also stronger businesses, communities, and professional networks throughout Texas.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area • Houston Area • Texas Area (excluding DFW and Houston areas)
Recognizes entire project teams, exemplifies team effort, including the project owner, A/E designer, management, administration, and construction workers. Recognition includes local impact, use of M/WBE, GCs and subcontractors, skill, innovation, and final product.
A Maya phrase meaning “one who assembles or binds,”. The RHCA presents this award to honor master builders who bring vision, skill, and people together into enduring works. This award honors an individual who demonstrates exceptional leadership and innovation within their own company, while also contributing meaningfully to the broader RHCA community through advocacy, resource sharing, and the creation or advancement of training and development opportunities.
This recognition is bestowed on those who represent the best in the long-term history of the RHCA. Like the Quetzal feathers in Moctezuma’s famed headdress. These individuals are the most prominent and arguably the most significant. They are as resplendent as the quetzal, a bird revered in Mesoamerican culture, and as vibrant. They symbolize the most valuable resource the RHCA has ever had, the best of the RHCA membership.
This award recognizes an individual who demonstrates exceptional commitment to workplace safety, proactive risk prevention, and a culture of accountability and care. The recipient exemplifies RHCA values by protecting workers, improving safety practices, and promoting safety leadership on and off the jobsite.
